Need of Early Childhood Care and Education in India

 India has a largest population of young children, every 5th child of the world lives here and every 3rd young child in the country is born with the low birth weight and here every 2nd young child is malnourished. Most of the young child in the country have no access to ECCE, according to UN estimates around 72 million young children in India do not have access to education. Home and community the first school and mother as the first teacher of the child play a very important instrumental role in setting up the ground for overall development of the child.
